In the Annual general body meeting held on May 1st, 2022, President announced the decision of the Central committee to collect a fund exclusive for charity works. The Mekhala committees were instructed to share awareness and do wide propaganda among the members regarding the necessity of charity works and schedule a plan to contact them.

As a result, an amount of Rs. 2,70,500/- has been collected from the broad-minded family members who gave their whole-hearted support. The amount has been deposited in the Service co-operative bank under the head Social benefit scheme of Maracheril Kudumbayogam. A committee representing all the zones is formed for the proper utilization and distribution of the fund. The fund distribution is as recommended by this committee and the final approval by the central committee. During the last year, an amount of Rs. 52,500/- has been served as follows.

1. Provided Rs.10,000 medical Assistance to Smt. Saramma Poulose, Marachery Putheth, High Range Mekhala for cancer related treatment

2. Donated wheelchair worth Rs. 7,500 to Sri. M.C. Issac, Marachery Putheth, High Range Mekhala

3. Provided Rs. 10,000 to Smt. Daigy George d/o Sri. M.C. George, Marachery Putheth, Kothamangalm Mekhala, as her son was critically admitted in hospital due to stroke

4. Provided medical assistance to Sri. M.C. Issac, Marachery Putheth, High Range Mekhala, as he was admitted in ICU due to high diabetics and chest infection

5. Provided Rs. 15,000 medical assistance to Sri. K.V. Joy, Kuttichirakudy, Kothamangalam Mekhala as he was admitted in hospital due to road accident and was seriously injured

 

During the coming years also fund collection from the well-wishers is planned and shall be a continuous process in the future.
