Maracheril Kudumbam is presumed as one of the oldest and reputed Christian family in the state of Kerala. In some of the available historical books, it is noted that this family existed from the 4th century onwards and that there was frequent gathering of the family members. It is also presumed that the family originated and was established in the central part of Kerala.
